MARRIAGE PROPOSALS

marriage proposal"I proposed to my fiance on the 29th February 2008 by text message. He was working nights at the time and so I sent him a text at 9.00am in the morning thinking that when he woke up at about two in the afternoon he would send me a reply joking that it was his place to propose.

I was shocked when the reply camr through at two saying "yes please" I was shocked but pleased about ten minutes later he phoned and said he knew that if I was waitng for him to ask me we would both be old and grey. We are now planning our wedding for September 2010
" Sharon Hunt

"My fiance proposed last weekend, a few weeks after our year anniversary. I had just finished my nursing placement and he had finished his dissertation so he decided to take me for a suprise on saturday morning.

We went to a beautiful secluded park in leicester and had a picnic together, afterwards he stood up and hugged me then told me to close my eyes because he had a suprise for me, opened my eyes and he was down on one knee!! very calmy he asked me to marry him, i burst into tears and asked if this was a joke! really was not expecting it, and he always claimed he wasn't ready to be married when in fact he had been planning this since february!

Hopefully going to be married next summer before my 21st birthday, i'm so excited and havent stopped smiling since he asked me to be his wife." Meg

WEDDING FLOWERS
bridal-bouquet"I just got my wedding bouquet yesterday and it's so wonderful and different - a dozen royal purple leather roses in a drop shaped bouquet! The bridesmaids each have a single leather rose to keep and they won't ever wilt or die. I got them from the English Leather Rose company." Kitty

"We originally had a quote from a local North Berwick florist for our wedding at dirleton castle and we were very shocked at the price. Once we recieved the quote from them we were astonished at the price. I contacted an old school friends florist in Portobello (Edinburgh), to discuss the quote and see what she thought. Well now we are going with my friend, as she was telling me that the price i was quoted was a celeb wedding price, well i was shocked. My friend is giving me what i want plus more for half the price of the original quote from North Berwick.

I am having a fairy tale wedding and well her prices are amazing. I am so excited for the day and have seen all my flowers and she is such a lovley woman." Diane Crawford

"The florist we had was excellent. She was local at the Orchardleigh Estate in Somerset. Lesley's Flower Shop provided exactly what I wanted it made me cry walking into the church She even gave us advice on what to do for the guests and other problems we might have incurred at the house." Janye Smith

"I had a silver & crystal bouquet, as I wanted the whole 'ice queen' look. Plus it was quite different to a traditional bouquet. It sparkled magnificantly, and lookd absolutely beautiful." Sophia Crawford

WEDDING DRESSES
wedding-dress"I always knew in my head what my wedding dress would look like. Ever since i was a little girl. U know the drill. fairytail princess sort of thing! i saw this dress in the window and nearly died when i seen it it was amazing. Everything i had always dreampt of. untill i tried it on. it was horrible. it made me look like a munchkin from wizard of oz. lol. any way after 3 shops and 40 dresses. i found one. its more than i could ever emagined and cant wait till the wedding." Catherine Smith

"I was very lucky when I searched for my Wedding Dress - I saw one in a catalogue and said that if it suited me that was the one! Everyone agreed that it looked gorgeous and really suited me. I went for a 'Galadriel' style - I had always said I didn't want just ivory, so I ended up with sculpted neckline, my the bodice half was ivory with beautiful medieval looking black embroidery, the skirt half was long and flowing ivory, with matching ivory train, and I was able to pair it with some beautiful dangly, elegant black earrings and matching necklace (which coincidentally my fiance had bought me for a birthday present a year or so before!!"
